Mamma Mia star Meryl Streephas undergone surgery after cutting her hand with a kitchenknife in a cookery accident.
The 63-year-old actress attended an event in New York forher new film Hope Springs wearing a large bandage on herleft hand, reported Daily Express online.
Streep later said that she sliced open her hand whilecutting an avocado and the injury was stitched up by a localdoctor in Connecticut.
"They gave me an even bigger bandage (after the surgery).And of course I took it right off when I got home. But now, Ithink I'll put it back on," Ms Streep said.
