Michael Stipe, Tilda Swinton, Willem Dafoe, Stella McCartney and many more celebrities are joining the Dalai Lama's latest campaign.
The Dalai Lama - exiled spiritual leader of the Tibetan people - is promoting a message of world piece called Stand Up and Be the Change, a universal message from His Holiness, to our generation to become "decisive catalysts" for positive change.
In advance of his arrival in Manchester, Northern England, tomorrow (16.06.12), he has partnered with a number of celebrities to spread his message of peace and dialogue in the 21st Century.
Stars including Beth Ditto, Jarvis Cocker and Grimes each deliver one line written by the Dalai in the video.
In his part of the video, Willem Dafoe says: "What greater folly could there be than to spend this short time lonely, unhappy and in conflict with our fellow visitors, so be the change."
Designer Stella McCartney follows him, saying: "Far better, surely, to use our short time in pursuing a meaningful life, enriched by a sense of connection with, and service toward others to be the change."
The video is the promote the Dalai Lama giving a free talk aimed at people under 25, which will be held in Manchester, Northern England, tomorrow (16.05.12), compered by Russell Brand. The talk starts at 1.30pm at the city's manchester arena.
