Minogue enters Aria Hall Of Fame

London: Pop star Kylie Minogue has been feted for her success with a place in the Australian Record Industry Association's (Aria) Hall of Fame.

Minogue, 43, has been nominated for 35 Aria awards during her career and won nine, including three Outstanding Achievement prizes, Contactmusic reported.

The 'Spinning Around' hitmaker was delighted with the achievement and joins children's entertainers The Wiggles as the 2011 honourees, who will be inducted in Sydney on November
27.

"I'm honoured to be inducted into the Aria Hall Of Fame this year... Australia, see you soon!," she posted.

"It's such an honour to be inducted in the same year as Kylie. We're both proudly Australian. When we go overseas, everyone knows Kylie is Australian and everyone knows the Wiggles are Australian.

"You automatically think the Aria Hall of Fame is for rock and roll bands, so it's pretty incredible. It's nice to be recognised. We didn't expect it in a million years," said Blue Wiggle Anthony Field.

Previous honourees include Inxs, Ac Dc and Dame Joan Sutherland.
