Mumbai: Journalist-turned-director Vinod Kapri held a special screening of his upcoming satire Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho for top judges, both serving and retired, who said they were impressed by the light-hearted portrayal of the realities in Indian society.
"After a long time, I have watched such a film. It's a good satire on the system, a very good job done by director Vinod Kapri," said former acting chief justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, justice KK Lahoti, who was among the attendees.
"The film shows how common people seem helpless in front of the police and it has also shown how fake laws are created by them. This will send a good message to the society," he said.
The film, which features Hrishita Bhatt, Rahul Bagga, Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra and Annu Kapoor in pivotal roles, has generated considerable buzz since the launch of its trailer. Actor Amitabh Bachchan and director Rajkumar Hirani said they found the movie quite entertaining.
