Miss US Alexandria Mills, dressed in a crisp white evening gown, was crowned the 60th Miss World 2010 on Saturday evening in China's Sanya city.
Miss Botswana Emma Wareus, was the first runner up followedby Miss Venezuela, Adriana Vasini.
India's Manasvi Mamgai failed to make it to the top 25,dashing the hopes of many Indians of getting the title back to thecountry.
India has not won the title since 2000 when Priyanka Choprabrought the crown home.
Apart from her, India boasts of Miss Worlds like Reita Faria(1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997) and Yukta Mookhey(1999).
