Filmmaker Mohit Suri is set to direct the film adaptation of author Chetan Bhagat's upcoming novel Half Girlfriend, which is about a Bihari boy falling in love with a girl from an upper class society.

This will be Chetan's sixth novel to be made into a film after 3 idiots based on Five Point Someone, Hello based on One Night @ The Call Centre, The Three Mistakes of My Life based on Kai Po Che, 2 States based on 2 States: The Story of My Marriage and a yet-untitled upcoming film based on Revolution 2020.
Mohit is expected to start shooting for the film next year. He currently has Humari Adhuri Kahani and the remake of French film Intouchables in his kitty.
The cast and crew are yet to be finalised.
