The endearing adventures fromiconic comic strip 'Motu Patlu' is being adapted into ananimated TV series.
Computer animation and digital visual effects firm MayaDigital Studios Pvt Ltd has struck a deal with Lotpot Comics,which launched the comic strip 40 years ago.
"Motu Patlu is a pure Indian comic brand with a42-year-old legacy. Its premise represents the cultural ethosof small town India and captures the life in the heartlands.
"At Maya we want to promote the best of Indian animatedcontent and hence we approached Lotpot comics for the 3Danimation of their characters," Ketan Mehta, Chairman andManaging Director of Maya Digital Studios, said.
Titled The Adventures of Motu Patlu, the series willshow some experiences of the two friends who get caught infunny situations.
"Finding the perfect digital partner for Motu Patlu was achallenging task. That is the reason why it took us so long todigitise Lotpot comics. But now I am extremely excited andhappy that Maya Digital Studios has taken over thischallenging task," P K Bajaj, editor and publisher of LotpotComics, said.
