New Delhi:
Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and actress Hazel Keech married in the first of two wedding ceremonies in Chandigarh on Wednesday. The 'very Punjabi' part of the multiple-day festivities is now over. On Friday, they will wed according to Hindu rituals in Goa. Wednesday's ceremony was held at the Dera of Baba Ram Ganduan Wale in Duffera, with both bride and groom dressed in deep red J J Valaya outfits. Hazel, 29, wore a rich maroon lehenga and heavy bridal jewellery. Yuvraj, 34, was similarly clad in an elaborate sherwani and matching turban. On Twitter, Yuvraj's cricketing buddy Harbhajan Singh responded to a selfie the groom posted on his social media accounts:
Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal also tweeted wedding wishes:

A better look at Hazel Keech's outfit:
Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech also wore matching midnight blue J J Valaya outfits at their sangeet ceremony in Chandigarh on Tuesday night. Hazel wore a long embroidered jacket over a white and gold lehenga.
Their sangeet guests included Virat Kohli and Team India, who had defeated England in their third Test match at Mohali.
A mehendi was held before the sangeet, at which Hazel was traditionally dressed in yellow. 'Starting a new innings today,' wrote Yuvraj with a picture he posted on Instagram.
Goa will mark the halfway mark for Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech's wedding celebrations. A second sangeet and reception will be held in New Delhi on December 5 and 7, after which they will finally be done.
Hazel Keech, best-known for co-starring with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in 2011 film Bodyguard, is of British-Mauritian descent. The ceremony in Goa will accordingly be western in flavor, with a hint of her native Mauritius.
