Late producer and director Prakash Mehra's son Amit Mehra, who is directing south actor Ram Charan Teja in the new Zanjeer, has decided to remake another of his father's blockbuster movie Muqadaar Ka Sikandar.
According to sources, Amit Mehra - who will be directing the remake - wants Abhishek Bachchan to reprise the role of the protagonist Sikandar played by his father Amitabh Bachchan in the original.
The worldwide rights of the movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhee, Vinod Khanna, Rekha and Amjad Khan, belongs to the three sons of Prakash Mehra - Sumit, Punit and Amit. The three brothers have decided to remake all the hit movies of their late father.
Apparently, after Zanjeer and Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, the Mehras also plan to remake Laawaaris, Sharaabi, Namak Halaal, Hera Pheri and Haath Ki Safaai.
