Noted music composer ofyesteryear, TK Ramamurthy (91) died here today followingbrief illness.
The veteran composer, also a violinist, breathed hislast this morning at a hospital, sources close to his familysaid.
The M S Viswanathan-Ramamurthy duo had composed musicfor a number of films including Karnan, the story of thewarrior king which starred a galaxy of actors including SouthIndian thespians Sivaji Ganesan and N T Ramarao.
Later, Ramamurthy parted ways with Viswanathan in themid-60s and composed music for a few films.
Ramamurthy's recent significant public appearance cameat the anniversary function of Jaya TV, where he was honouredby Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
