New Delhi: Music Directors: Ishq Bector, Sneha Khanwalkar and Sagar Desai
Singers: Shree D, Ishq Bector, Apeksha Dandekar, Vinay Pathak, Rekha Rao and Dolly Peters
The soundtrack of Bheja Fry 2, the sequel to 2007's hit comedy Bheja Fry, is all about situational song. And three composers teamed up to churn out five originals and one remix.
The album starts with the fun song Ishq da keeda, crooned by Shree D and Ishq Bector. It has full-fledged fast western beats with touches of classical music. It is pacy and foot-tapping and talks about the situation when someone falls in love. In short, entertaining and worth a hear.
Next is another fast-paced number called We go crazy, which has Punjabi beats. The title song of the album is sung by Shree D and Apeksha Dandekar. This one too has a fun element. It also has a remixed version.
It is followed by a song sung by actor Vinay Pathak, O Rahi. A moderately paced number, it talks about life and is quite hummable.
Up next is Banjaare, sung by Rekha Rao. The mood of the song and the way it has been sung is quite gypsy in nature, but it has nothing new or extraordinary to talk about.
Burra Na Mano Ji winds up the soundtrack. It is basically about the protagonist of the film and has been sung by Shree D and Dolly Peters. Moderately-paced, humorous, but very situational number. Not a track that would make one hum or dance.
On the whole quite an average album and the songs are more thematic than being individual entertainers.
