Mumbai: Actor Vinay Pathak, who will be next seen in Chalo Dilli with Lara Dutta, says that post Bheja Fry, his market value in Bollywood shot up manifold.

"After Bheja Fry the attitude of people in the industry towards me changed. As the film became a super hit people came with money..hung up a price tag around my neck. My market value increased," Vinay told PTI in an interview.

"People who are coming towards me are changing. My strategy hasn't changed, my approach towards my work has not changed. I still ensure that my preference goes to the script and the character, the story line," he said.

Directed by Sagar Bellary Bheja Fry, a comedy of 2007, is a tale of an arrogant music industry executive played by Rajat Kapoor whose plan to bring an idiot to dinner goes hilariously awry when Bharat Bhushan (Vinay Pathak), a middle-aged clerk at Income Tax office aspires to be a playback singer.

Bheja Fry received success despite its low budget. After four years, now director Sagar Ballary plans to make a sequel with higher budget and is setting the film is Malaysia starring Vinay, Rajat, Minissha Lamba, Kay Kay Menon and others.

"The sequel is also coming. I am too excited about it. The date of release has not been finalised," Vinay said.

The actor insists that he is open to any kind of film be it an established...big banner or a newcomer film. "Be it a big banner film or a newcomer one...I sign the film after I am sastisfied with the script and the character. Be it Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi or Anil Mehta's Aaja Nachle or Sagar Bellary's Bheja Fry or Shashant Shah's Dasvidhaniya. I have signed all films after reading scripts."

Vinay's film alongside Lara is a journey that showcases India, through the relationship of this mismatched couple and ends with a surprise twist.

"I am sure the film will be a super hit. It has good actors, good script..it is an entertaining film. I am very much thrilled and excited. It is a fantastic opportunity to work with Lara. She is such a wonderful actor and a performer. With the kind of talent she has I feel she is not exploited to that extent in the film industry. I am ecstatic of the fact that we have come together for a film," he said.

About the story, Vinay said, "Its about an odd couple. The story requires that imagery and such characterisation so we are paired opposite each other. It is about two people who want to go to Delhi. With destiny playing its role, there are some changes in their life. The character that I play is loud and obnoxious...typical north Indian type."

Produced by Eros International in association with Big Daddy Productions (owned by Globosport of Mahesh Bhupathi) and Lara Dutta's Bheegi Basanti, the film releases on April 29.
