Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins has credited his wife Stella Arroyave for pulling him out of depression and transforming his life when they met 10 years ago.
The 'Silence of the Lambs' star insisted that he was in a terrible state when he was first introduced to Arroyave, whom he married in 2003, but praised her positive attitude to help him beat his demons, Seven magazine reported.
"She met me 10 years ago when I was shut down.Shut down for some years.I didn't feel shut down at the time. I felt I was quite happy. But I was dealing with slight depression. Not trusting anyone. Certainly not trusting women," said the 73-year-old
actor.
"Everyday she wakes up happy. She's very positive about everything. I learned from her just to take life as it comes. So I live my life in non-expectation," he added.
