Taapsee Pannu in Naam Shabana
New Delhi:
The box office collection of Taapsee Pannu's latest film Naam Shabana continues to be low, reports Box Office India. The film released on March 24 and during its second weekend, Naam Shabana collected about Rs 4 crore, tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Naam Shabana's total box office collection on its Day 10 is Rs 32.55 crore. Box office India states that the film managed to maintain a decent stand at the box office as no major film released that week. "The lifetime business of the film is looking to be around 34-35 crore which despite being low is actually the fifth highest total in 2017 for Hindi films," reports Box Office India.
Here's Naam Shabana's Box Office Collection:
Part 1 of S S Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning has also re-released last Friday along with Adil Hussain's Mukti Bhawan and Akshara Haasan's Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana. Mukti Bhavan got a Special Mention National Award.
In his review for NDTV Movies, Saibal Chatterjee writes, "Taapsee Pannu's stunts are film's high points, Akshay Kumar in cameo steals the show. Naam Shabana, for all its avowed aspirations, it rarely ventures beyond the trite and tested. Watch it only if standard-fare action dramas do not put you off." He gave Naam Shabana two out of five stars.
The film is directed by Shivam Nair and backed by Neeraj Pandey, the producer of Baby. Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpayee and Prithviraj Sukumaran co-star Taapsee in Naam Shabana.
Taapsee Pannu is currently prepping for Judwaa 2, a remake of Salman Khan's 1997 blockbuster Judwaa. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. It releases on September 29.
