Samantha Ruth Prabhu is all set for her digital debut with the second season of The Family Man, the trailer of which will be revealed on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Samantha shared the update on Twitter along with a brand new poster of the series and wrote: "We're ready for you." Samantha Ruth Prabhu's post was re-shared by her husband, south star Naga Chaitanya, who gave her a huge shout-out. "Finally! It's about time," he wrote. Amazon Prime series The Family Man, the first season of which released in 2019, is centered around Srikant Tiwari, a role brilliantly portrayed by actor Manoj Bajpayee. Srikant Tiwari works for a special division of the National Investigation Agency and struggles to balance his secretive job profile and personal life - he is indeed a family man, as the title suggests.
In the second season, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been roped in to play the main antagonist - a terrorist leader named Raji. The show will also mark her first Hindi project. Here's how Naga Chaitanya cheered for Samantha's new show:
The Family Man series is created and director by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. While actors such as Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwanthary will reprise their roles from the first season, the show has cast new entries such as Ravindra Vijay, Shahab Ali, Devadarshini Chetan, Anandsami, Vedant Sinha and Mime Gopi.
The Family Man 2 was earlier supposed to premiere in February but was delayed due to the pandemic. The shooting of the second season concluded in March.
