English supermodel Naomi Campbell's tweet congratulating "malaria" for winning the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize has gone viral on social media.
Naomi was apparently meaning to wish Pakistani girls' education activist Malala Yousafzai , but the message backfired when she wrote the word "malaria" instead of Malala, Dawn online reported on Saturday.
"Congratulations malaria on your #noblepeaceprize #2014 #Respect #joy #ithalljuststarted ?? http://instagram.com/p/t_-Tjlo5nw/" she wrote in the tweet.
According to the report, Naomi had originally posted the message on her Instagram on Saturday, but it also automatically went to her Twitter account.
While people were quick to notice the slip-up, Naomi did not apparently notice it for hours after posting her message as the mistake was not corrected.
Malala was named the joint winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday along with Indian child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi.
