Entrepreneur Navya Naveli Nanda is having a great time in Delhi. The granddaughter of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan has been a vocal advocate for gender rights and women's empowerment. She is also the founder of Project Naveli, which is an initiative to fight the issue of gender inequality in India and the co-founder of Aara Health, a women-centric health tech company. Navya is currently on a roadshow with the youth media organization Yuvaa to empower and engage youth and girls, in particular. On Instagram, the actress has shared several images from the show in Delhi, and many pictures have been dedicated to food, Navya's one true love. In the image, she is seen digging into dosas and noodles, when she is not interacting with young adults and addressing the public.
However, all the images of the food caused one curious Instagram user to ask, “Slim despite so much junk food.” To this, Navya Naveli Nanda said, “It's an illusion.” Sharing the images and clips, Navya Naveli Nanda wrote in the caption, “How this roadshow is going so far…#YouGrowGirl a @weareyuvaa roadshow empowered by Loreal Paris Loreal India. 4 is Dishang Popat rejecting my creative shot taking ideas,” and tagged her team. In response, writer-producer and co-founder of Yuvaa, Nikhil Taneja wrote, “Everyone loves Navya [heart emojis].” Navya Nanda's uncle, actor Abhishek Bachchan replied with a hug emoji.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Navya Nanda spoke about how gender equality begins at home in an interaction with Josh Talks. Speaking about her own personal experience, she said, “I'll tell you something my grandmother told me, which I'll always remember. She said that women are the best entrepreneurs, they are born with management skills… A housewife's job at home is no different from what a CEO of a company does… My mother has raised me and my brother in a similar way.”
Speaking about her brother Agastya Nanda, who is soon to make his Bollywood debut, she said, “I can handle household finances, but if guests are coming over, he can make tea for them,” she said. Agastya Nanda will be seen in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies alongside Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor, among others.
