A still from Raman Raghav 2.0
New Delhi:
If life is both light and dark, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's character in Raman Raghav 2.0 appears to believe only in the black. The trailer of Anurag Kashyap's Raman Raghav 2.0 was released on Tuesday and featured Nawazuddin as a serial killer who equates his life with a chessboard.
Nawazuddin, playing the titular Raman Raghav, is seen committing heinous murders. He believes that he has been gifted with a power which allows him to fulfil his desire if he just thinks about it zor laga ke.
Enter Vicky Kaushal, a cop who struggles with substance abuse. And then begins a deadly chase.
Raman Raghav 2.0, based on the real life serial killer who operated in 1960s Mumbai, is Anurag Kashyap's first film after last year's critical and commercial failure Bombay Velvet. It will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16.
Raman Raghav 2.0 releases commercially on June 24.
It's dark. It's scary. Watch at your own peril:
