The union minister announced earlier this week that a special edition stamp would be released soon, to honour Manjhi along with former president APJ Abdul Kalam.
"I feel so honoured to have been a part of this movie. It's a great gesture from the government and I personally thank them to have bestowed such an honour on a man like Dashrathji who single handedly carved the future of his village in a small district in Bihar. I am lucky I got to play such a role of this man, who is a true hero," Nawazuddin said in a statement.
The biopic also stars Radhika Apte.
