Soundarya R Ashwin was honoured for Technical Innovation In Film at the NDTV Indian Of The Year awards in New Delhi tonight.
Soundarya, the daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, is the director of animated period film Kochadaiiyaan starring her father and actress Deepika Padukone.
"Animation is not cartoon and Kochadaiiyaan is not a cartoon. It captures actions," Soundarya said as she received her award.
"I just hope we don't get replaced as actors because everything is animated now," said Ranbir Kapoor who presented the award to Soundarya.
Described as a 'bossy director,' by Rajinikanth, Soundarya took this selfie when she checked in to Delhi today.
