Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan,who plays Elizabeth Taylor in the new TV movie Liz and Dick,said she once turned down a dinner invitation from the screenlegend out of nervousness.
The 26-year-old actress missed out on the chance to meetTaylor because she was "too nervous" to join the late legendfor dinner - and it's a decision she will always regret.
"She had actually sent me a ring once and invited me todinner, but I was genuinely just too nervous," Lohan told talkshow host Jay Leno.
The new Lifetime movie is about the screen icon'stumultuous relationship with Richard Burton, and Lohan had alittle extra insight into the private life of her Hollywoodidol thanks to Taylor's personal nurse.
"My entertainment lawyer, he knows the nurse that waswith her for about seven/eight years, so I became good friendswith her and she was on set most of the days I was working andshe actually gave me one of Elizabeth's furs, which was niceof her.
"It was nice to have the inside things that I didn'tknow, that when she was home in bed she would karaokesometimes to (the radio). It's the small details," said Lohan.
