Ever since IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack released on August 29 2024, it swiftly gained traction and became a hit worldwide.
The series made it to Netflix's Global Top 10 charts and stayed there for three weeks and in India's Top 10 for an impressive 11 weeks.
A story based on real-life events, the show unfolded across five airports, five countries, seven days, 188 souls, and won a billion hearts worldwide.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the series had a stellar cast. It featured Vijay Varma, Patralekhaa, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, Arvind Swamy, and Dia Mirza in pivotal roles.
The series chronicles the real events of the December 1999 hijacking, and is inspired by the book Flight Into Fear by Captain Devi Sharan and Srinjoy Chowdhury.
