"Even my last film Rock On had new actors. Farhan(Akhtar) made his debut with it. There was Purab Kohli, LukeKenny, Prachi Desai. Only Arjun Rampal was a well known actor. So, I think I have made a point by doing so," he added.

"Although the film is based in Gujrat, it is meant for apan India audience. Infact it is a film which represents ourcountry beautifully and I hope that the global audience willget a taste of India after watching it," Kapoor said.

When asked if it was difficult to adapt a popular novelinto a film, Kapoor said, "It was a difficult film to make andit took me almost three years to put this story together.

Kapoor made his directorial debut with Aryan in 2006.

His last film Rock On was well received and also won theNational award for Best Feature Film in Hindi in 2009.

"I am aware of the expectations after Rock On was sucha hit. Like Rock On, this too is about male bonding. WhileRock On was about urban life, music and dreams, Kai Po Cheis much wider," he said.
