Pop diva-actress Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler have joined the judgespanel of American Idol season 10 alongside Randy Jackson.
Show host Ryan Seacrest announced thatTyler and Lopez are the new judges as the audition process isset to begin, reported People magazine.
Lopez brushed off reports that she was makingoutrageous diva-like demands during negotiations to become thenew judge on the singing talent hunt.
"After as many years as I've been in this business,I'm used to that kind of stuff. I'm used to speculation,"Lopez said Wednesday at a press conference.
If anything, Lopez said, she felt she was draggingIdol bosses FOX into negative headlines.
"I was calming the FOX people down. I was like,'Listen, it'll be gone tomorrow. Once they hear who we are andwhat we're doing, it's going to be fine. Don't worry aboutit.' I was just looking forward to getting started," said the41-year-old star.
Mike Darnell, head of alternative programming on FOXsaid, "I can tell you from the Fox standpoint, the deal wasnot tough. There were no diva demands. It was a really easy,comfortable deal with both parties."
