Singer Nick Jonas is set toappear in a stage adaptation of hit musical Hairspray andhopes to land more opportunities to showcase his actingtalents in front of a live audience.
The 18-year-old made his Broadway debut when he wasjust seven years old and starred in a production of LesMiserables in London last year, reported Femalefirst."Musical theatre has found a spot in my heart.Hopefully, I'll be able to do more of it," said Jonas, whowill be appearing on stage in Los Angeles.
Beside working with his brothers, Jonas released asolo album last year, but is now keen to turn his talents towriting for other people.
"Back in December, I started writing and producing forother people. That's been my focus this year. I also scored avideo game, which was really fun. It's been an opportunity tobe just as productive as I am with my brothers. I hope that Ican have a voice with my brothers, on my own and through otherpeople," he said.
Jonas is also working on an online talent contest forsingers aged between eight and 14 and is hopeful the schemewill help a young person on the way to the success he hasenjoyed.
"If there's a kid out there who is like me at thatage, I'd love to guide them to a happy life and career inmusic," he said.
