Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have been extremely vocal about the love they share for each other. The couple often shares loved up pictures and videos of each other on social media. Their individual interviews too are incomplete without some talk about their spouse. We saw an instance of this when the Jonas Brothers – comprising Nick Jonas and his two brothers Kevin Jonas, and Joe Jonas – appeared as guests on the talk show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. While on the show, Nick Jonas got a fan question that went like this – “When you started dating Priyanka by sliding into her DM what exactly did you say to her and before Priyanka how often would you try to slide into someone's DMs like that.”
In response, Nick Jonas jokes in the video, “Life before Priyanka is a distant memory. It doesn't exist, doesn't exist.” When asked what exactly he said to his wife, Nick whips out his phone to take a look at the famous DM. He says that he had taken a picture of the conversation. Cute, isn't it?
At this point, Kevin Jonas joins the conversation and says, “ I actually know the answer to this because I heard her [Priyanka Chopra] talking about it from her press week.”
To this, Nick Jonas says, “I said something pretty effective.” Reading for his phone, he continues, “‘Hey, I know I've heard we we have a lot of things in common… friends in common and I think we should meet in person.' And she right away responded. She was like, ‘Nice to meet you like let's get off DM. Let's go to text. My team might be watching here.”
"It is right there,” Nick Jonas says, turning the screen towards the audience only to cover it immediately and adds, “I'm not going to show the whole class. That's sweet but we started texting right away… I mean listen we were talking about this the other day… like we basically went to high school and you know our experience in meeting people was all in our work environment. So it makes sense that the invention of the DM came to be a beautiful thing. It opened up the world not only for other users who don't live a public life but for people living a very public life.”
Then answering the second part of the question, Nick Jonas says, “I'm sure there were DMs previously but the only one that mattered is my wife.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra recently shared her thoughts on Nick Jonas' dating life before they met. Speaking to Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the actress said that as soon as she received the above-mentioned DM from Nick Jonas, she Googled him. The singer's music video Close popped up and Priyanka Chopra was clearly impressed. "I thought that body deserves at least a date. I landed on that video. I saw it, and I had to, like, open the window or something," she said.
Speaking of her husband's past relationships, she said: “I didn't even mean to look at any other s***. I don't give a f*** who he dated. We're talking about the future. I always say this, I don't read my book backwards. I believe you go forward."
For those curious, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Olivia Culpo and Lily Collins are some of the Hollywood celebrities Nick Jonas dated.
