Los Angeles: Ailing actress Zsa Zsa Gabor reportedly wants Oscar-winning star Nicole Kidman to portray her in a biopic.

According to Gabor's husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, the 94-year-old actress wants Kidman to depict her life story onscreen after watching her perform in the 2001 romantic musical film Moulin Rouge.

Interestingly, Gabor herself had starred in the older version of the movie about the legendary Parisian haunt, reported E! online.

"She wants me to talk to Nicole Kidman... because she wants her to play her in her life story," said Von Anhalt.

"Nicole made the new Moulin Rouge and Zsa Zsa did the old Moulin Rouge. She always says, 'Nicole was perfect in Moulin Rouge! She should play me in my life story,'" he added.

The legendary actress has been in and out of hospital since suffering from two blood clots following her hip surgery last July and was even read her last rites by a priest in November.

Last month, she was admitted to the UCLA Medical Centre after doctors were concerned she may lose her life if her leg wasn't amputated. While the procedure was largely considered to be a success, she has been receiving round-the-clock care ever since being allowed to return to her Los Angeles estate.
