Nimrat Kaur had to gain 20 kgs for her role in Dasvi. While she received praise for her performance in the film, she was also trolled for the weight gain. Now, in an interview with Etimes, Nimrat talked about the trolling and said that people have "no basic courtesy." A few days back, Nimrat Kaur had shared a long post on social media about the trolling that she received for her weight gain, and during the interview while talking about her post, she said, "Frankly, it was so much of trolls that I was referring to. That didn't happen to me. It was something that I experienced personally in day-to-day life. I am referring to people who were around me when I was gaining weight or had gained weight, not those who are hiding behind their gadgets. These are people whose minds have been conditioned in a manner that makes them feel that woh kisi ko bhi kuch bhi bol sakte hain (They can say anythign to anyone) whether it is on someone's body or looks or even food habits."
"It is as if they have a right to everyone's personal space, and don't realise the sanctity of what is right and what is wrong. No basic courtesy. This was not an unintentional space I was in," added Nimrat Kaur.
On April 20, Nimrat Kaur had shared her before and after photos and had talked about the weight gain and the trolling that she was receiving. She had captioned the post as "Weigh on it...Swipe left for my thousand words this picture won't speak."
