Mumbai:
Actor Ajay Devgn, who would bestepping in the shoes of veteran star Jeetendra in the newversion of Himmatwala, says there is no scope for comparisonwith him.
"I don't think there is any chance of comparison inthe film. The way the script has been adapted from the 80'sstyle keeping in mind today's audience, it is different. So insimilar way Sajid can't direct and I can't perform. When oneadapts a script point of view changes," Ajay told reportershere, on the sidelines of a recording session for the chartbuster song Taaki O Taaki by 100 musicians.
Director Sajid Khan is all charged up to remake theJeetendra-Sridevi starrer 1983 film Himmatwala with AjayDevgn in the lead.
"When you will see my version of Himmatwala in 2013with Ajay Devgn you will feel that it is not similar toJeetuji's version of the film," Sajid said.
"This is my version of Himmatwala and you will getto see many things which were not there in the original.Actually they are two different stories. We have taken rightsofficially for the film and for two songs," he said.
This is not the first time that Ajay is doing a retrokind of a film. Earlier his film Once Upon A Time In Mumbaiwas set in the 70s.

On if he thinks he is the man of all seasons and eras,Ajay said, "I don't know what to answer but it's a greatfeeling. You do something new, you attempt 70's and now you do80's. We are fascinated with those times because we have beenbrought up on that (cinema) so it's going to be a lot of fun."
These days Ajay is seen as an action hero or ticklingthe funny bone but now he will have to gear up for the dancingpart, which he has played safe so far, as he steps into theshoes of Jeetendra, called as the jumping jack of Bollywood.

"I am ready to do anything whatever they plan. Forthis film I am ready to do anything be it action or dance. Youcan't look at one department, it is a film in totality. I amlooking at the whole film right now," Ajay said.
"Farah would be the right person to answer about dancepart. I think Ajay's image is of action and intense hero typebut for me he is a complete hero, he can do anything. Our filmis not a take of Himmatwala, or a spoof, it is based on the1983 film," Sajid said.
The leading lady for the film is yet to be finalised.
"We are looking at a fresh face...new heroine. And we willannounce the same next month. We also have Prakash Raj andParesh Rawal...this is a great combination," Sajid said.
