Mumbai: Veteran actor Dharmendra said that taking his daughter Ahaana's newborn son into his arms reminded him of the time when he first took his own children in his hands.
Ahaana, 29, the younger daughter of Dharmendra and actress-MP Hema Malini, welcomed a baby boy on June 11. She is married to Delhi-based business man, Vaibhav Vohra. This is the couple's first child.
"Taking him (Ahaana's baby) in my hands, it did remind me of the time when I took my children in my hands for the first time," said Dharmendra, whose elder daughter with Hema Malini is actress Esha Deol, while actors Sunny and Bobby Deol are his children from his first marriage.
The 79-year-old star said that he just wants good energy around the baby. "We are extremely happy. I can't say who he looks like. I would say keep him in your prayers. He should lead a happy, healthy and prosperous life. We just want good wishes for him," Dharmendra said.When asked what name have they given to their grandson, the actor said, "We haven't thought of it yet. There is still some time for it," he said.
Dharmendra will be next seen in Second Hand Husband co-starring Govinda's daughter Tina Ahuja, Geeta Basra and Gippy Grewal. The Sumeep Kang-directed film will release on July 3.
