New Delhi: Pics:Stars at No One Killed Jessica Premiere

2011 has started with a bang, at least for Bollywood. Prominent industrywallahs have had some good things to say about the year's first release No One Killed Jessica.

The overwhelming response to the film's Wednesday premiere matched the buzz it's been generating pre-release. From Aamir to Amitabh, there was no dearth of good wishes.

"With strong storyline, good direction, exciting promos and a whole of lot of other good aspects of the movie, I hope it will certainly have an impact," said Aamir Khan at the premiere.

Actor Vivek Oberoi who was at the premiere on Wednesday, tweeted this morning: "Saw NOKJ (No One Killed Jessica) last night terrific film! Hard hitting, powerful and deeply moving. Take a bow Rajkumar Gupta and UTV for believing in it and seeing it through! Performances by Vidya and Rani were phenomenal---award contenders for sure!"

"Just landed in Da da da Dilli (Delhi) (its from the cold, not the song) 5.8 degrees - still got NOKJ (No One Killed Jessica) on my mind- mark of a good film," tweeted filmmaker Ken Ghosh, who was also at the premiere.

Publicity for the movie may have been helped along by rumours of a Rani-Vidya rift and their subsequent, very provocative and public, liplock at a promotional event. But lest you think that the film's popularity is riding high on it's heroines' masala magic, No One Killed Jessica has also hit the right note with critics. Taran Adarsh gave the film four stars out of five. His verdict: "Final word? This gutsy film deserves a standing ovation!"

No One Killed Jessica comes to a theatre near you on Friday, January 7.
