Mumbai: Pakistani actress Sara Loren did a no-show at a calendar event where she was to be the chief guest recently. She was earlier also missing from an event for her forthcoming film with Randeep Hooda.
Sources however reveal that her missing in action acts have been deliberate as the newcomer wants to maintain a low profile. She wants to avoid any unnecessary attention at public events and come under the scanner for being from across the border.
Sara, earlier called Mona Lizza, had made her B-Town debut in Pooja Bhatt's 2010 film Kajraa Re opposite Himesh Reshammiya. She is now starting anew with a new name.
Says a source, "Though the film's promotions have begun, Sara has also been told by the makers of the film to go slow when it comes to public events. She will only be making her appearances more close to the release date of the film. She has been told to play safe."
Sara, who features in fashion photographer Manish Chaturvedi's calendar, skipped the launch event held recently at a suburban hotel. She apparently said she could not make it at the last minute. But as the source maintains, "As it was a public event, she had to skip it."
