Calling her father Ravi Shankara "genius", singer Norah Jones has said she and millions ofmusic lovers will miss the sitar legend.

His 33-year-old daughter Norah, with American Sue Jones,said Shankar's music has inspired millions of people, reportedAceshowbiz.
"My Dad's music touched millions of people. He will begreatly missed by me and music lovers everywhere. I rememberwhen I found out that John Coltrane had come to him once tostudy... That impressed me at the time, more than the GeorgeHarrison thing just because I was such a jazz nerd. But youknow it's all amazing. He's inspired a lot of musicians,"Jones said in a statement.
The jazz singer, who shot to fame by sweeping fiveGrammys in 2003, has always been guarded about her famousfather and their relationship.
