Los Angeles:
Grammy-wining singer Norah Jones, the daughter of Indian sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, has parted ways with her longtime management company Macklam Feldman.
The 32-year-old singer has joined the SAM, or Silva Artist Management, headed by John Silva, which has Foo Fighters, Ryan Adams, Beastie Boys and Beck among its clients, the Hollywood Reporter said.
The Vancouver-based Macklam Feldman, founded by Steve Macklam and Sam Feldman in 1995 and whose clients include Elvis Costello and Diana Krall, had represented the jazz singer since 2003.
The same year her debut album Come Away With Me won eight Grammy Awards and catapulted the singer to international acclaim. It has since sold more than 10 million copies in the US.
John Silva is a respected industry veteran who started his career working with the Kurt Cobain led band, Nirvana. Jones' most recent album, 2009's The Fall, debuted at No 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified platinum.
