Ram Gopal Varma's latest film, Not a Love Story, will release tomorrow (August 19) as per schedule.
The Bombay High Court has cleared the release of the movie based on the sensational real-life murder of TV executive Neeraj Grover, three years ago.
Former Naval officer Emile Jerome, convicted of murdering Neeraj Grover, had filed an application in the Bombay High Court against the release of the movie. Earlier Maria Susairaj, aspiring Kannada actress, also convicted in the murder, sent a notice to Ram Gopal Varma. Both fear that the movie would portray them in bad light.
On Emile Jerome's petition for injunction on the movie, the Bombay High Court said that the film can't be stopped from being exhibited at this stage, when it is releasing tomorrow (August 19). The Court however said that after the release, if there is anything defamatory or contempt of court, Emile Jerome can approach the Court again.
Emile is serving a 10-year prison term for 'culpable homicide not amounting to murder'. Maria has been released from prison since she has already served three years for criminal conspiracy during trial.
