London:
R&B star Rihanna was given a coldshoulder by drum and bass duo Chase And Status after theychose not to include her in their new album.
The 'Take me Away' hitmakers, who had worked withRihanna on her 'Rated R' album, said that they wanted theirnew album to be thoroughly a British affair and so decide toleave her out, reported Daily Star.
"There was talk about working with Rihanna and othernames linked to Roc Nation but we weren't tempted. We wantedthe album to showcase fresh and cutting-edge UK talent," saidSaul 'Chase' Milton.
The duo is known to be working with new artists likePlan B and Clare Maguire.
"We're known for working with new artists such as PlanB and that's what really excites us. On the album we've workedwith Clare Maguire who just has this amazing voice and willappeal to everyone Mali, Delilah and Tempa T, all of whomare wicked," added Milton, 29.
But there is one US superstar lurking in the tracklist- Cee-Lo Green, 36.
"Admittedly Cee-Lo isn't British but he sings on atrack called Brixton Briefcase, which is about London in the80s when guys used to walk around with ghetto blasters ontheir shoulders," said Milton.
