Objectionable scenes will be removed from <i>Son Of Sardaar</i>, says Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn said his film does not hurt anybody's sentiments and he has a lot of respect for the community and culture.
Amritsar: Actor-producer Ajay Devgn, who hasbeen accused of showing Sikhs in bad light in his upcomingfilm Son of Sardaar, today said all objectionable scenesfrom the movie will be removed.

Devgn, who also plays the lead in the film, held ameeting with the members of Sikh community here and screenedthe comedy film for them.

They had objected to a scene where Devgn is shown as aturban-wearing Sardar with the tattoo of Lord Shiva on hischest.

The actor said his film does not hurt anybody'ssentiments and he has a lot of respect for the community andculture. Devgn said the film was made under the guidance ofknowledgeable people.

"At no point anybody will find any element of disrespect.The protagonist of the film is a Sardar, so the film willshowcase a very positive projection of the community. Oneshould just wait for the release and then come up withcomments and opinion," he told reporters.

The meeting was by Punjab Cabinet minister BikramMajithia to resolve the issue.

All India Sikh Student Federation (AISSF) presidentKarnail Singh Peer Mohammad wrote a letter to Jathedar AkalTakht Giani Gurbachan Singh on August 2, asking him to takestern action against the actor for alleged blasphemous remarksagainst the Community.

A lawyer has also issued a legal notice to the makers ofthe film asking them to delete objectionable portions from themovie.

The film, directed by Ashwini Dhir and starring SonakshiSinha, Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla, releases in November.
