New Delhi:
The Humma Humma song from Aditya Roy Kapur and Sharddha Kapoor's upcoming film OK Jaanu was released on Thursday afternoon. The song, a reprised version of A R Rahman's Humma Humma from the 1985 film Bombay features Aditya and Shraddha's perfect bonding as they dance to the beats of Humma Humma. Aditya seems to be completely smitten by his lady love Shraddha in the entire song. As described earlier, the song is a perfect blend of northern and southern music. Composer Tanishk Bagchi and rapper Badshah have conceptualised the track while the original lyrics of the song is retained, singers Jubin Nautiyal and Shashaa Tirupati have made the song slightly peppy.

The music for the film has been given by A R Rahman and the lyrics is written by Gulzar.
Filmmaker Karan Johar who is co-producing OK Jaanu has been constantly sharing updates about the song. Here's what Karan has to say:
OK Jaanu, is the remake of Mani Ratnam's 2015 blockbuster Tamil film OK Kanmani. The film was musical hit too, all thanks to A R Rahman.
The song is Badshah's tribute to A R Rahman. "There is pressure. It's my rendition, the mood of the song is different. I know there will be comparisons but it's ok. I have done my best. It has turned out beautiful," Badshah told news agency PTI.
"Humma Humma was a situational song and even in this film it is situational," Badshah further said.
Vaibhavi Merchant has done the choreography of the song that portrays the relationship between Aditya and Shraddha.
The film's trailer was release earlier this week and we feel that the Aashiqui 2 couple will be able to recreate the magic again with Ok Jaanu.
The film is mostly shot in Mumbai and the plot revolves around two couple who are in a live-in relationship because they don't want to get married. It basically deals with the choices they have to make between their relationship and career.
OK Jaanu is scheduled to release on January 13 and is directed by Shaad Ali.
