"Happy Lohri" : Amitabh Bachchan's Wish To His Instafam

On the happy occasion of Lohri, our favourite Bollywood stars have been sending wishes to their fans and followers. With pictures and videos, social media is filled with festive posts. And, leading from the front is veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan who shared a fun video on Instagram. The clip is an animated video with the famous Punjabi folk song, Sundri Mundriye Ho, playing in the background. Sharing the video, Amitabh Bachchan wrote in the caption, “Happy Lohri .. peace, calm and safety.” Fans of the superstar also flooded the comments section with heart emojis and messages for the actor and his family.

While this may be the first festival related post from the actor this year, Amitabh Bachchan has been treating his fans to some cinematic gems over the last few days. Take, for instance, a throwback picture from the sets of his classic action film Don. He placed the vintage picture alongside a poster of the film and offered a bit of trivia about the film. In the caption, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Just before shooting the run in Don that became the poster.”

Before that, Amitabh Bachchan even shared a collage of throwback pictures with the late actor Shashi Kapoor. In the caption, he wrote, “Zamaana beet gaya, na jaane kitne filmen ki saath mein (An era has passed, with innumerable films together).” Replying to the post, Rohit Roy said, “Best pair ever. Chalk and cheese, perfect foils!”

Recently, the actor shared a collage of pictures of himself from the 80s, looking dapper as always.

That's not all. Amitabh Bachchan even shared a throwback picture of himself with a teenage Abhishek Bachchan and Mithun Chakraborty. In the caption,  Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, Bob Biswas and Disco Dancer,” referring to the characters played by the respective actors.   

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in films such as Brahmāstra, Runway 34, Good Bye, and Uunchai. He was last seen in Chehre.
