Director Shirish Kunder sci-fi flick Joker is being touted as the next big film of the year. But it's too short.
After the huge success of the Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer, Rowdy Rathore, there are huge expectations from their next outing together. The duo will be seen sharing screen space in Shirish Kunder's ambitious home production, Joker.
There have been a lot of rumours about this film, and most of them are not particularly nice. The nastiest news doing the rounds is that Akshay is disappointed by the way Joker has shaped up, and has given up on it. We also heard that he is not promoting it whole heartedly. While we don't know if that is really the truth, there is new dope on this sci-fi comedy.
News is that Joker is the shortest commercial multi-starrer film yet to be made in Bollywood. An exhibitor friend told us that the movie is just 1:45 hours (105 minutes) long. "The shorter length will mean we can schedule more shows at multiplexes," he told us.
Also, the film is expected to be fast-paced and entertaining. We don't know the exact reason behind this short runtime, but it seems that Shirish went scissor happy with his baby. But we wonder if Akshay's fans will be happy to hear this bit of information!
