Chennai: Producer T Srinivas clarifies that his Telugu crime-thriller Operation IPS is not a sequel to 2007 Telugu blockbuster Operation Duryodhana.
"We named the film after Operation Duryodhana because we wanted the audience to connect with the similar sounding title of the film. Our film is different in story and presentation and is definitely not a sequel to the other film," Srinivas told IANS.
Operation Duryodhana was loosely based on 2005 sting operation inspired by the same name.
Starring Posani Krishna Murali and Aarthi Agarwal in the lead roles, Operation IPS is set to release November end.
Written and directed by Mohan Kanth, the film has music by Subash Anand and Prithvi, while Rakesh Goudhas handled the camera.
