The 50-year-old picked up the award as a producer for 12 Years a Slave.
"I don't know where I'm going to put it. I never thought I'd take one home, so I haven't thought that far in advance," Pitt told eonline.com.
12 Years a Slave, a real life story of a man's fight for survival and freedom, won the best film honour at the 86th Academy Awards.
