Opinion is divided on Neil Patrick Harris' performance as Oscar host. 1. Opening zinger: He cut to the chase right at the start with a jibe at the 'all-white' Oscars - "Tonight, we celebrate Hollywood's whitest, sorry brightest." This was followed by a song-dance number called 'Moving Pictures' in which he was joined by Anna Kendrick dressed as a princess and briefly by Jack Black.
2. In a second dig at the lack of diversity, NPH had Selma star David Oyelowo help out delivering the punchline to a joke because 'everything sounds better with an accent.' As the crowd clapped, NPH quipped, "Oh sure, now you like him," referring to Mr Oyelowo's absence from the Best Actor nominees list.
