Actor Mark Rylance won the Best Supporting Oscar for his role in Bridge of Spies at the 88th Academy Awards on February 28.
The actor beat Sylvester Stallone, who was nominated for his role in Creed to win the top honour. Other actors who competed for the golden statuette were Christian Bale (The Big Short), Tom Hardy (The Revenant), Mark Ruffalo (Spotlight).
Actress Patricia Arquette, who won the Best Supporting Actress trophy for Boyhood last year, presented the award to Mr Rylance.
