Chennai: Telugu director Mahi V.Raghav says his upcoming, coming-of-age entertainer Paathshala is not a run-of-the-mill story of male bonhomie.

"The film will celebrate moments of self-discovery through friendship in the lives of the protagonists. Typically, all movies about friendship are a culmination of fun and frolic, but my film is a kind of revelation to those who haven't experienced what I show in the film," Mahi told IANS.

Paathshala narrates the tale of a few youngsters who embark on a journey of self-discovery on the last day of their graduation.

Written and directed by Mahi, the film is produced by Rakesh Mahankali and Pavan Kumar Reddy.

The movie's cast is yet to be finalised. But the project is expected to release October 2013.
