New Delhi: The trailer of Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor's upcoming period piece Padmavatiis what Twitter has been busy with since it arrived yesterday afternoon. 'Padmavati trailer' has been trending for over 18 hours now and Baahubali director S S Rajamouli also has a role to play in it. Rajamouli shared his review of only a glimpse of what Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next has to offer in a tweet on Monday, and we know that he watched and loved the trailer. Rajamouli summed up his verdict in two words, tweeting: "Insanely beautiful!" along with a postscript for Bhansali: "Each frame etched to perfection by the master craftsman." Ranveer's performance as the power-hungry emperor Alauddin Khilji also deserved a special mention.

"Ranveer Singh looks menacing and frightening yet can't take my eyes off him," tweeted Rajamouli. Same here, actually.

Ranveer Singh, currently busy with the remaining parts of Padmavati, thanked everyone for all the love, writing in a tweet: "Sanjay Sir, my crazy genius, the master craftsman... has fought, suffered and sacrificed for his film - the success of this trailer is testament to his sheer tenacity and iron will."
 

Bollywood stars also got goosebumps watching the Padmavati trailer. Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are only some of the many celebrities who think that the trailer is no less than "mind-blowing." Padmavati is based on the story of Rani Padmini of Chittor, who was married to Maharawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor in the film). Deepika Padukone features as the protagonist, Rani Padmavati, who lead hundreds of Rajput women to commit jauhar to avoid being captured by Alauddin Khilji.

The Padmavati cast also includes Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh, and is arriving in theatres on December 1.
