Padmavati Trailer Stuns Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan

New Delhi: Padmavati trailer is out and Bollywood celebrities cannot stop raving about it. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer Singh found their own spot on Twitter trends list while '#PadmavatiTrailer' has been trending for all of Monday. Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan are all mesmerized by the trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film and said Padmavati is epic stuff. In the trailer, we meet Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini of Chittor, who is revered by her subjects. Maharawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor) is a proud Rajput warrior and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji is depicted as a fierce ruler.

Padmavati is the story of Rani Padmini of Chittor, who allegedly performed jauhar (along with hundreds of Rajput women) when Alauddin Khilji invaded the fort of Chittor. The film has been paned by a Rajput Outfit (Karni Sena) which first vandalized the film's set while it was shot in Jaipur and also attacked Mr Bhansali. Later, when the first look poster of Padmavati released on social media, some members of the outfit burned those posters. Even now, as the film's release date has been set for December 1, the Rajput outfit has vowed that they'd not let the film release in certain parts of India.

Padmavati also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh.
