Los Angeles:
Hollywood actress Sarah Jessica Parker has denied reports that she was freed from jury duty this week because she complained her daughter was ill.
The Sex and The City star was called for the civic service on Monday, but discharged after she reportedly complained to another prospective panelist that her daughter is "at home sick".
It was also reported that the said she had an "international flight" on Tuesday and fretted that the fraud case being tried might last more than two days.
But the 46-year-old actress has denied the reports, saying she doesn't mind spending her time for some jury duty, reported Aceshowbiz.
"I don't shirk any of my civic responsibilities," said Parker, adding that she was "ready, willing and able to serve" even though one of her young daughters was sick at home with a fever, but she was discharged when the panel was filled before she was called.
