Chennai: After having bagged the Best Tamil Film award at the 57th national film awards recently, Pandiraj-directed movie Pasanga (The Kids), will now be screened at Chinese Film Festival as India's lone entry.
The film has been selected for the 19th China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival to be held at Jiangyin City from October 11-16. The makers of the movie, Pandiraj and producer Sasikumar, also a director, are scheduled to leave for China.
"Pasanga is the only Indian film selected for this prestigious festival," a unit spokesperson said in a release here.
Pasanga by debutant director Pandiraj is the story of the bonding of two rival schoolboys intertwined with a parallel love track. A commercial grosser, the film also recieved critical acclaim.
