Pathaan is racing towards Rs 400 crore mark at the box office. The film has managed to collect Rs 364.50 crore within 10 days of its release, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported on Saturday. The film's collection on this Friday alone was Rs 13.50 crore. Sharing the film's box office report, Taran Adarsh tweeted on Saturday: "Pathaan races towards Rs 400 cr mark... Commences Week 2 on a solid note... Collects in double digits on (second) Fri [Day 10]... Expect bigger jumps over the weekend... Will cross Dangal today (Sat)... [Week 2] Fri 13.50 cr. Total: Rs 364.50 cr. Hindi. India biz."
In a fresh tweet, Taran Adarsh stated that the film will surpass Aamir Khan's Dangal's records. "Pathaan will surpass lifetime biz of Dangal today [Sat]... All set to emerge 3rd highest grossing film," read his tweet. Taran Adarsh mentioned in his tweet that the top 5 films include Baahubali 2(Hindi), KGF 2 (Hindi), Pathaan, Dangal and Sanju.
Box office success aside, the film has been equally adept at impressing critics. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee have the film 3.5 stars out of 5 and he wrote: "Pathaan swings and strikes with all the style and aplomb in the world. It will be a hard act to follow. "
The spy thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film released in last month. The film also featured Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana. Salman Khan also featured in a cameo appearance in the film.
